Senior Cup Round 1: Watcombe Wanderers vs St Martins — Streamed Live

Round 1 of the Senior Cup brings St Martins to Long Lane on Saturday 12th September, kick-off 13:55. Knockout football, one game to stay in it — and the Green Army are flying after two league wins from two.

Something a bit special this time: the match will be streamed live on our Facebook page, so if you can't make it down to Long Lane you can still watch the full 90 minutes wherever you are. Family, friends and anyone following from afar — tune in.

For those coming along: the bar will be open, entry is free, and the more noise behind the lads the better. Cup days are made by the crowd.

The Green Army backed up last week's 5–2 thriller with a hard-fought 2–0 win away at Beesands Rovers. It was a tight affair, but another three points on the road keeps us right at the top of South Devon League Division 1.

Will Godfrey and Thomas got the goals, both created by Sam Pyne assists. Two finishes, two assists, and another clean sheet on the road.

Two games, two wins, and plenty of momentum heading into the week. Up the Wanderers!

Full Time: Buckfastleigh Rangers 2–5 Watcombe Wanderers

What an opening day. Trailing at the break, the Green Army roared back to win 5–2 away at Buckfastleigh Rangers in our first league game of the 26/27 season.

The hosts struck early through a 12th-minute opener and took that lead into half time. The response after the interval was everything you'd want: Sean Finch tucked away a penalty on 67 minutes to level it up. Buckfastleigh edged back in front, but that only lit the fuse.

Sam Pyne levelled with his first of the afternoon, then put us ahead moments later with his second. Thomas Ross made it four with an absolute screamer, before Pyne completed his hat-trick to finish the job at 5–2.

Full Time: Watcombe Wanderers 3–3 Paignton Villa

A thriller at Long Lane finishes 3–3 against Paignton Villa. Sean Brown opened the scoring, an own goal made it two, and Will Godfrey completed the Wanderers' scoring.

Plenty of positives to take into the league opener. Thanks to Paignton Villa for a good, competitive run-out.
